The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control (in accordance with the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual) and any other incidentals necessary to clean out underdrains located on Route 23 in Wise County 1. The Contractor shall perform all work in such a manner that all foreign material that is not part of the underdrain (i.e., stone, grit, grease, sludge, sand, dirt, road debris, sediment, leaves, tree limbs, etc.) is removed from the assigned structure to the satisfaction of the Contract Administrator, or designee. The Contractor’s operator shall use approved methods such as vacuuming, water jetting and pressure washing to clean the structure and inspect the system for any needed repairs. During performance the operator shall adjust high-pressure water flow to ensure that each underdrain receives optimal cleaning and scouring power without damaging the structure or existing utilities.
