Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide approximately 60 to 75 vehicles per year to Prince William County (PWC) Department of Fire and Rescue (DFR). These vehicles will be delivered and picked up by the contractor at various locations in PWC. PWC DFR intends to use these vehicles in training exercises consisting of setting vehicles on fire as well as extrication of simulated patients. All vehicle deliveries and pickups shall be made Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be no deliveries on County Holidays or County closures. Contractor shall ensure that all vehicles have all doors and roofs intact for training exercises. 1. Vehicles used for live fire training are required to have the following per NFPA 1403 (2018 ed.): 4.13.11.7 “Vehicles used as props for live fire training shall have all fluids reservoirs, tanks, shock absorbers, drive shafts, and other gas-filled closed containers removed, vented, or drained prior to any ignition.” Tires shall be removed from the vehicle prior to delivery to PWC. 2. Vehicles used for extrication shall have the following: Contractor shall ensure that vehicles used for vehicle extrication purposes shall have all fluid reservoirs drained and removed. Tires shall remain on the vehicles used for extrication training. All vehicles for live fire and vehicle for extrication training shall have a minimum of four (4) passenger compartment doors unless otherwise requested by the County. Towing the vehicles to and from the facility shall be the responsibility of the contractor and required as part of this contract.
