Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Occupational Health Services a. Complete pre-placement evaluations/drug screens. b. Conduct reasonable suspicion drug/alcohol testing. c. Perform employee wellness activities. i. Blood work. ii. Blood Pressure. iii. Health education/counseling. d. Assist with Workers Compensation (WC). i. Injured worker triage/first aid. ii. Return to duty. iii. Liaison between employee, physician, employer (WC). iv. Panel physicians – referrals. v. Liaison with Workers Compensation provider (currently VAcorp). vi. Modified duty. vii. OSHA reporting. viii. OSHA training (Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP), Safety, etc.). e. Assist with Employee Safety/Health initiatives. i. Incidence/types of accidents. ii. Ergonomic evaluations – onsite. iii. Exposures. f. Complete recording keeping and reporting. g. Train staff where appropriate. B. Student Health Services a. Facilitate and check immunization/physical compliance. b. Facilitate health screenings – must be done within first 60 days of school and on any new enrollee within 60 days of entrance (Collaborate with RCPS Staff). c. Complete mandated reporting to Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and other government agencies (e.g., medical care plans, health screenings, chronic illnesses, etc.). d. Attend Individualized Educational Program (IEP) meetings, as appropriate. e. Attend VDOE meetings, as appropriate. f. Provide nursing coverage in schools. i. RCPS currently contracts for 21 full time nurses, 2 full time float nurses, 6 part time nurses, 1 SISN (students with intense needs nurse), a preceptor, and 1 nursing manager. ii. Schools require all day nurse coverage depending upon the needs of students or population of the school. g. Document clinic visits and usage using SNAP (the school division’s online medical documentation system) or the Contractor’s own electronic charting. h. Accompany children on field trips, as necessary. i. Train staff where appropriate (e.g., administering medication, local care plans, use of Anaphylaxis/EpiPens, etc.). j. Provide emergency response to bus accidents, as necessary. C. Contractor must take such steps as are necessary and/or requested by RCPS to fulfill all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and/or other requirements (including reporting) associated with the Scope of Services. D. Contractor shall abide by and operate in accordance with the laws, rules, and regulations of Virginia and shall complete all forms and documentation required by all Federal, State, and local municipalities, and any other agency having jurisdiction. Additionally, Contractor shall abide by and operate in accordance with all applicable RCPS policies and procedures. E. Contractor will provide evidence of insurance (e.g., Comprehensive General Liability, Worker’s Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance, Umbrella Excess Liability) in accordance with the provisions of the agreement ultimately reached between the parties. Where appropriate, such policies shall name RCPS as an insured party. F. Contractor shall indicate how it intends to supervise its personnel when performing the Scope of Services. Included in this shall be an explanation of: (i) who will be coordinating the services provided by Contractor and (ii) who will serve as the primary point of Contractor communication with RCPS. In the event that Contractor assigns an on-site supervisor, the supervisor or any replacement shall be acceptable to RCPS. G. Contractor shall promptly provide all information requested by RCPS that may be required to prepare reports, maintain records, and verify invoices. Contractor shall fully cooperate with RCPS in providing necessary. H. RCPS shall have the right to inspect any aspect of Contractor's operation relating to services provided under the Contract to determine compliance with RCPS requirements. I. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining, at its own expense, any and all permits, licenses and/or governmental approvals necessary to fulfill its obligations under the Contract. J. Contractor must supply RCPS with a list of staff names, licensure, and background checks upon hire.
