Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is the procurement of on behalf of the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office, is requesting formal, sealed proposals from qualified psychiatric physician(s) to provide mental health appraisals, appropriate psychiatric medical care, and psychiatric medical direction for the inmates confined in the Roanoke County-Salem Jail Facility.The Roanoke County-Salem Jail is located at 401 E. Main Street in Salem, Virginia. The facility houses both sentenced inmates and pre-trail detainees and has an average daily population of 270 inmates. This proposal will include a visit to the jail once per week with additional visits as needed. The following specification is submitted as a minimum requirement. It is the intent to award an annual contract which may be renewed annually only if both parties agree and the funding is available.
