Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Bare-root stock will be planted in the dormant season as soon as stock is shipped from suppliers, prior to the onset of the growing season, and before seedlings break dormancy 2. Seedlings will be planted in assigned planting zones as identified on site maps and as marked in the field 3. Different species will be planted in even distribution across even planting zone. Single species shall not be clustered 3. If necessary, bare-root stock can be stored for the short period (no more than 7 days) from receipt until planting in a refrigerated trailer and roots must be kept moist but not wet until planting 4. Immediately prior to planting, bare-root stock will be placed in buckets of water for 4 hours 5. After hydrating, bare roots will be dipped into a slurry of fine grade, synthetic, crosslinked polymer hydrogel such as Soil Moist (JRM Chemical, Inc.)
