Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide licensed healthcare staff to perform Pre-Employment Physical Examinations on an as needed basis in accordance with standards prescribed by the American Medical Association. Adhere to American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, the DOC’s Directives and Operating Procedures (Operating Procedure 102.5 – attachment 1) for Staff Medical Screenings and Physical and Physical Examinations, and all federal, state and local laws, regulations and court orders. 2. Ensure staff performing pre-employment physicals meet all State, Federal, ADA, and HIPAA Laws & Regulations, and be qualified in accordance with the qualifications and licensing requirements of Chapter 8 Title 54 of the Code of Virginia 1950, as amended. 3. Examiner shall be a licensed medical provider licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. 4. Ensure all medical technicians performing tests and providing services all be certified. If requested, all licenses and certifications must be submitted for review prior to services being performed. 5. Determine the type of physical examination that is required based upon the applicants health history and responses to Employee Medical Evaluation – Employee Physical Examination Screening Form (Attachment 2), in addition to the applicants physical condition.
