Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work on six (6) courtrooms which includes the interior renovations of Courtrooms 2A, 2E, and 2F of the General District Court, Courtrooms 4C and 4D of the Circuit Court and the build-out of Courtroom 3J of the Juvenile Court. The renovations include the courtrooms, jury deliberation rooms, attorney-client rooms, audio/visual rooms, toilet rooms, and judges secure corridor. The scope of work consists of asbestos abatement and hazardous materials remediation; demolition and replacement of existing floor, wall, and ceiling finishes; demolition and/or modifications of existing mechanical, electrical, and security systems supporting the courtrooms; new high-end finishes and millwork for judge's benches, witness stands, clerk's stations, court reporter tables, and counsel tables and restoration of existing gallery seats. All work shall be performed after hours and shall not interfere with the Court's operations in adjacent courtrooms, which will remain fully functional throughout construction.
