Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Without notification from the State, the Contractor will plow all snowfall of two inches or more, or at the end of each snow fall. 2.2 Snow may need to be moved around the site, pushed up with a loader, or removed from the site. When the snow needs to be hauled from the site, the contractor will need to dispose of it properly. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to have a location where snow can be disposed. Please fill out bid response sheet for the equipment you will be using to perform these services. Where applicable, driver/operator must be CDL certified. The Montpelier Complex does have a snow storage site that can be used for the Montpelier Complex snow storage only. 2.3 Snow removal services for these sites will be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At no time should there be more than 4 inches of snow on the parking lots or driveway areas. 2.4 Contractor shall take care not to damage buildings, guardrails, curbs, and automobiles. Contractor will make repairs to material damaged during performing these services. Determination of the need for and extent of the repair is the sole discretion of the State of Vermont Contract Coordinator. Contractor to notify the contract coordinator and also onsite maintenance personnel of any damage that has been done within 12 hours and asap for electrical or water utility damage. 2.5 Contractor shall be responsible for incidental and emergency calls for removing snow that may interfere with State operations at these sites. 2.6.The contractor shall always provide adequate supervision of his/her employees to ensure complete and satisfactory performance of all work in accordance with the terms of the contract. The contractor will always have a responsible supervisor on the job when the work of the contract is being carried out. 2.7 The contractor and his/her employees will be subject to all State and Federal regulation for the conduct of personnel. 2.8 Contractor’s shall not utilize state -owned equipment to perform any part of these services. 2.9 Subcontractors will need to be approved by the contract coordinator before they can perform any duties as part of the contract. 2.10 The Contractor will comply with all Federal, State, County and City regulations.
