Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Secretary of State's Office of Professional Regulation is seeking an individual to help accelerate smart government initiatives and regulatory reforms in professional licensing. OPR is seeking the assistance of a talented individual with excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills to help accelerate the Secretary of State’s smart government initiatives and regulatory reforms in professional licensing. We are seeking a person who can help bridge the gap between regulator and regulated, and facilitate groundbreaking approaches to public protection in the marketplace. Contractor will act as a professional resource to the Office of Professional Regulation (OPR). Work is performed on an as-needed basis with flexible hours, and consists of administrative, legal, and/or stakeholder engagement. The contractor may consult OPR on occasional communications to professionals and organizations. This is a grant-funded position with the potential for three (3) years’ of part-time assignments. Work is performed collaboratively with OPR General Counsel and Staff Attorney, as well as licensing administration staff, professional boards and external stakeholders. Functions include responsibilities for oral and written communications on licensing regulation and leading stakeholder engagement. Assignments to be determined by OPR General Counsel. More than one person may be contracted depending upon the combination of skills found in the proposals received.
