Training Program Development a. Grantee will develop a high-level training that can be completed in a one-hour session. b. Grantee will submit all training materials and implementation plan for approval prior to training implementation. c. The training must cover at a minimum the following topics: • Signs of opioid overdose • What to do when someone is overdosing • Call for help and the Good Samaritan Law • Naloxone administration • Strategies to reduce the risk of an opioid overdose • General information on hepatitis A, B, and C • General information Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) • Prevention strategies to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission • Information on opioid treatment programs, harm reduction agencies, recovery centers and free naloxone distribution sites throughout the state d. The training must engage the participants and solicit their participation.
