Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of an approximate 5,400 sf pre-engineered steel addition with floor drainage to the existing building. The dimensions are planned to be approximately 90’x 60’. The proposed use of the building will be for covered storage of the airports snow removal equipment. The addition will have (4) 20’x 14’ overhead doors. One man door. The proposed addition will adjoin the existing maintenance at approximately 25’ in height sloping to the south to a height of 20’ or a 1/12 slope. The existing outside windows on the south side of the existing building will be moved and placed on the new south end of the building addition. Both windows will be located similarly to the way they are currently positioned. Site work will include but not limited to drive grading, sub-base, pavement, footings, frost wall, slab, stormwater chambers, utility relocations and oil water separator with all necessary piping. There may need to be some exploratory excavation and geotechnical review prior to final design of the foundation. Based on our review of earth work there is a close balance of cut and fill. Contractor to verify. If there is any excess fill it will be minimal and can be moved to the airport quarry. There is no impact to existing vegetation as the area is flat with no vegetation. There will not be any landscaping as the nature of the proposed addition is consistent with the existing and fits in the area with the existing surrounding vegetation. Grading and erosion control have been shown on the site plan.
