Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of updating the SWMP is to assess the current capability and capacity of the storm water system and to propose future capital improvement projects and asset management to address current and anticipated system inadequacies and needs over the next 20 years. The SWMP will model and detail existing and proposed conditions, propose and prioritize a new set of storm water projects to further improve the storm water system in the city, and organize an asset management program of storm water capital improvements. Phase 1 of the work will develop a SWMP Program for the SLCDPU’s storm water system. Specific tasks will include: • Compile and review all past SWMPs and associated studies which will inform the proposed SWMP. Review Building Design and Process Guide: Public Utilities/Storm Water, SLCDPU Development Review Standards, city Storm Drain Ordinance, city Riparian Ordinance, MS4 Permit, Storm Water Management Plan, Storm Drain Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, Study Area Drainage and Flooding Histories, Integrated Watershed Management documents, and FEMA mapping within City Boundaries. • Lead a project kickoff meeting to discuss and formulate project approach and schedule. Lead on-going biweekly project meetings. Phase II – Pilot Study Area SWMP and Future Phase Management Phase II of the work will develop a specific study area SWMP. This pilot study area SWMP will follow the approved report template and work requirements. Specific tasks will include: • Review and summarize Study Area drainage and flooding histories. Review and summarize all past SWMPs and associated studies pertaining to selected study area. Review status of previously proposed projects. • Lead a project kickoff meeting to discuss and formulate a Study Area SWMP approach and schedule. Lead on-going biweekly project meetings. • Engage with all identified SWMP stakeholders and partners to incorporate concerns and recommendations pertaining to the Study Area. • Inspect and characterize required stormwater infrastructure as identified in PH I and according to PH I inspection form. Layout asset management schedule of stormwater system within Study Area. • Review all SLCDPU Stormwater GIS data for Study Area. Perform field work to complete missing data that is necessary to modeling and asset management efforts. Identify and document all storm water facilities (creeks, channels, drains, pipe, structures, outfalls, lift stations, etc.). Verify and distinguish ownership of all major and critical stormwater facilities with SWMP Stakeholders and Partners.
