Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this SOW direct snow removal and ice control services for driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks at the USDB Springville campus 1160 West 900 South Springville Utah, 84663. GENERAL: All maintenance materials/equipment used must be of a type that will not have an immediate or extended detrimental effect on any of the surfaces being serviced. Any foreign matter, spills, stains, marks, or residue of any nature on any surface shall be reported/removed/repaired during the regular maintenance operations. The awarded Vendor must be available during regular and emergency work hours by cell phone. Upon award, the Contract Vendor will be responsible to coordinate directly with the Schools Authorized Representative to identify limitations of snow pile areas and plowing methods. Snow pile practices shall be within acceptable best practices for snow removal. It shall be the responsibility of the Contract Vendor to haul away the snow. Snow removal must be completed by 0700 5 days a week. The Contract Vendor will also provide snow removal services ‘on demand’ or for a ‘special event’ (see Paragraph 5 below). All plowing is to be done when snow accumulation is of two inches or more (5 days a week). The Contract Vendor shall be paid a flat fee contract for annual service regardless of snow fall. If snow accumulates during the 5 day work week over 2 inches after initial plow the contractor will repeat work. The Contract Vendor will be contacted by the State’s Authorized Representative when deicing is needed. The Contract Vendor shall be advised by the School’s Authorized Representative as to what locations will be deiced at that time. The Contract Vendor shall provide all deicing material. It shall be the prime responsibility of the Contract Vendor to protect the School’s property at all times, and to use only such materials and treatments that will provide safe conditions and preserve any surfaces against deterioration.
