Specifications include, but are not limited to: This design/build project will include design and construction of solar parking canopies on Weber State University’s W10 parking lot. It will be the responsibility of the Selected team to: • Deliver a complete turn-key solar parking canopy system • Install a data collection and monitoring system with electrical meter that communicates with Weber State’s metering network • Commission systems to ensure correct operation • Train WSU staff on operation and maintenance of system • Install all required signage and labeling • Coordinate with State building inspectors (DFCM & Fire Marshal) • Obtain final Certification of Occupancy from DFCM Building Official • The existing parking configuration and layout is to remain. • Canopy structures are to be single column cantilevered with columns at the front of the parking stalls. • Structures may be vendor supplied systems (they are not required to be custom). • Structures must allow a minimum 9’-0” vertical clearance. • Structures must include a 30” tall concrete column base to protect structure from collision. • Canopy must include metal decking to direct water runoff • Canopies must include LED lighting with concealed conduit • Structural components are to include a high performance coating (exact color to be dictated by Weber State). • Electrical connection to 12,470V switch in Lindquist Hall (see attached site electrical plan). • The parking lot is to be used throughout spring semester. It can be closed for construction after April 26, 2019 and must be open for parking prior to the beginning of fall semester 2019, no later than August 16, 2019.
