Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specifications for anchor bolts for standardized traffic signal structural steel components including: mast arm signal poles; mast arms; signal pole luminaire extensions; luminaire arms; highway luminaire poles; traffic/pedestrian signal poles, and CCTV poles. Design to all requirements of AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals (current edition). Design for basic wind speed of 90 mph. Use truck speed of 65 mph for truck induced gust in fatigue calculations. Anchor bolts, nuts, and washers will be supporting structures with Category II fatigue importance factor. 2.2 Material A. Produce anchor bolts conforming to ASTM F1554 GR 55 and anchor bolt nuts to conform to ASTM A563 GR A and ASTM A595 with a minimum yield strength of 55 ksi after fabrication.[DS1] Provide washers that meet requirements of ASTM F436. B. Use 100% domestic steel materials melted and manufactured in the United States of America. C. Galvanize anchor bolts per AASHTO M 232. 2.3 Anchor Bolts and Nuts for Mast Arm and Signal Pole Provide 2” diameter anchor bolts for the bases that support the standard UDOT signal pole. Ship each anchor bolt assembly with two flat washers, and two nuts. Galvanize the entire anchor bolt. See attachments for overall dimensions and details. 2.4 Anchor Bolts and Nuts for Other Poles A. Provide 1” diameter anchor bolts and nuts for the Highway Luminaire Pole and Arm. Ship each anchor bolt assembly with two flat washers, and two nuts. Galvanize the entire anchor bolt. B. Provide 1” diameter anchor bolts and nuts for the attached drawing of the Traffic/Pedestrian Signal Pole. Ship each anchor bolt assembly with two flat washers, and two nuts. Galvanize the entire anchor bolt. C. Provide 1.5” diameter anchor bolts and nuts for the CCTV poles. Ship each anchor bolt assembly with two flat washers and two nuts. Galvanize the entire anchor bolt.
