Contractor must comply at all times with the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct https://rid.org/ethics/code-of-professional-conduct/. 3. Travel - Some travel within the State of Utah may be required. If Contractor’s services are required by an agency, travel being farther than 100 miles (one-way) from Contractor’s place of work, then the Contractor will be reimbursed at then-current State per diem rates https://fleet.utah.gov/state-travel-a/in-state-per-diem-rates-1/. Contractor shall inform the Eligible User at the time the services are scheduled for the need to utilize per diem/travel expenses. 4. Multiple/Team Interpreting Guidelines - Various situations and factors may determine whether or not multiple or team interpreting is needed, which means two or more interpreters shall be required. Contractor shall follow RID Standard Practice Papers on Team Interpreting in determining whether multiple/team interpreting is needed (https://rid.org/about-rid/about-interpreting/standard-practice-papers/). As a general guideline, any appointment where continuous/uninterrupted interpreting exceeds 90 minutes requires multiple/team interpreting. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to inquire as to the length of continuous interpreting. Team interpreting may still be required for service requests less than 90 minutes based on the complexity, individual needs of client, size of the audience, etc. If multiple/team interpreting is required then the Contractor shall inform the Eligible User at the time the services are scheduled if more than one interpreter is required for services requested.
