Recycling: Vendors providing recycling services usually collect recyclable materials and operate facilities that remove recyclable material from the general waste stream. Vendors typically collect plastic, glass, paper, metal, electronic waste, and construction waste. Vendors will provide the dumpsters ranging from 18-gallon and up. Regulations relating to recycling are primarily set at the local and State level, and they have been changing at a moderate rate in the last couple of years. As government bodies aim to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills, it is the responsibility of the vendor to keep up with the changing regulations. 2. Solid Waste: Resulting contracts would also include solid waste collection and disposal services. Vendors should address issues relating to environmental surcharge, emergency response, and container in their proposals. With an understanding that the State entity (End user) and vendors are responsible for the disposal of refuse throughout the entire disposal process, vendors bares the responsibility of having a comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
