Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services in this contract to provide for wildfire hazard reduction, and improved wildlife habitat. Six units will be treated by mechanically removing/shredding live or dead Pinyon Pine and Juniper trees and saplings with a wheeled or tracked bullhog. The work includes treating project areas totaling approximately 544 acres. Bids should be submitted on a per/acre basis and total cost basis. Per acre and total bid, prices will include all mobilization and operation costs. See table below for a summary of treatment units, acres and treatment type. Work under this contract is located in Garfield County approximately 4 miles north/northeast of Hatch, Utah. Elevations range from 6,800 to 7,200 feet within the project site. Slopes range from flat to 20% with the majority of the project being less than 10%. The work location is shown on the attached Project and Reference Maps. The treatment boundaries may have areas that will not be flagged and must be located by GPS or by using the PDF maps attached and the Avenza app. The work location is shown on the site maps.
