Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Normal weed control for trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and perennials including existing and proposed plantings. 2. Mowing, aerating, edging, fertilization, and weed control within turf areas. 3. Weekly site inspection of potential insect, pest, and disease problems and filing monthly status report. 4. Annual spring “green-up” including fertilization (fertilizer shall be approved by City representative) and clean-up of winter damage. 5. Annual fall clean-up of leaves, and aeration and fertilization of turf areas. 6. Weekly clean-up of trash, litter, and debris in landscape areas, gutters, and sidewalks. 7. Light pruning, to include removal of suckers and water sprouts as they appear on trees. 8. Sweep or blow rocks and debris from hardscapes at least monthly or more frequent as needeed, including but not limited to medians, stamped concrete, planters, round-a-bouts, etc. 9. Clean up from storm events including but not limited to debris removal, fallen tree or branches removal, flood damage, etc. 10. The following work may be required under this Section, but if required, will be considered a claim for extra work: a. Insect, pest, and disease control. b. Plant replacement due to theft, vandalism, or accidental damage by others. c. Repair of damages to the irrigation system that has not been caused by Contractor’s maintenance practices or negligence. d. Over-seeding of turf areas. e. Winter watering of trees and shrubs. f. Topdressing and replacement of wood and gravel mulches. g. Seasonal planting of annuals. h. Annual tree pruning.
