Specifications include, but are not limited to: CONTRACTOR shall collect, transport and dispose of bio-waste material generated during the diagnosis, treatment and immunization of humans in a clinical environment, as well as items contaminated with bodily fluids from a prison environment, as required by applicable federal, state, and county laws, rules and/or regulations. CONTRACTOR shall secure and pay for all governmental permits and licenses required by law with relation to any work covered by the contract, and shall give all notices, pay all fees and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations related to the work specified, including Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R315-316, governing infectious waste requirements. CONTRACTOR shall collect from seven (7) container locations, transport and dispose of bio-hazardous waste once per week. The (7) locking containers are currently located outside: Two (2) at the North Gate Sallyport; and one (1) each located outside Uintas, Olympus, Promontory, Lone Peak, and Timpanogos Building 7. (See attached map.) Infectious medical waste includes, but is not limited to: Sharp items such as; hypodermic needles, suture needles, scalpel blades or any item that could puncture human skin.
