Specifications include, but are not limited to: process? (Explain in detail why the service or product is only available from a single supplier.) As the steward of Health Resources and Services Administrator (HRSA) federal funding it is the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) responsibility to ensure eligible clients receive assistance to core medical and support services to enhance their quality of life. The DHHS currently contract with University of Utah Infectious Disease Clinic (IDC) who provides Outpatient Ambulatory Medical Care (OAMC) to eligible clients enrolled in the Program. The IDC is one of the only providers in the state of Utah solely provides medical care to PLWH. As the DHHS continue to see barrier to care due to limited providers. It has been one of the priorities within the Program to search for a provider agency to collaborate with to ensure we have sufficient care for people living with HIV (PLWH). Beside IDC, Intermountain Health Services (IHS) is another agency that cover many of the region within the state of Utah. Many of the individual that we assist may have insurance that the IDC does not cover so having IHS as a contract provider will help fill the gap. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
