Tank, drinker, and apron should be one structure to aid in installation in remote rocky terrain. These structures should be built of cross-linked polyethylene with ultraviolet inhibitors that is suitable for watering big game and other wildlife species, including livestock. Tank/apron/drinker should be dark in color and not require painting. Tanks should be built so it can be partially buried underground 2 to 3 feet. Total weight of the tanks should not exceed 1,000 pounds. Tank dimensions should not exceed 8 feet in width and 16 feet in length. The tanks should have a ramped drinker for access by both big game and upland game. Wall thickness should be thick enough to withstand freezing without cracking. Tank/apron/drinker shall be thick and strong enough to withstand deer, elk, cattle, bison, and heavy snow loads without breaking.
