Specifications include, but are not limited to: Trimming and/or removing, as needed, approximately four hundred and seventy-five (475) trees (approximately 50,000 square feet) in Zone 1. 1. Trim back trees at least ten (10) feet from power lines for a five (5) year growth cycle and remove to a City owned site. 2. Prevent the spread of oak wilt by sealing cuts on trees in accordance with the International Society of Arboriculture & Texas A&M Forest Service, Pruning Guidelines for Prevention of Oak Wilt in Texas, ANSI A300 Pruning, Utility Vegetation Management, ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements, and utilize Best Management Practices (BMP) and appropriate chemical control methods for treating undesirable trees. 2. Cut to ground level all problem/trash trees, remove and treat stumps with herbicide according to manufacturer’s label.
