Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pursuant to Section 58.403, Family Code, the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) and Texas juvenile probation departments (JPD singular or JPDs plural) have entered into Interlocal Cooperation Contracts (ICC singular or ICCs plural) under Chapter 791, Government Code, for the purpose of creating, operating, and maintain a statewide juvenile information system intended to aid in processing juvenile cases, facilitate the delivery of services to children in the juvenile justice system, aid in the early identification of at-risk and delinquent children, and facilitate cross-jurisdictional sharing of information related to juvenile offenders between authorized criminal and juvenile justice agencies and partner agencies. Respondents providing offers in response to this Request are representing they have the capabilities to host, operate, maintain, support, and enhance JCMS.Basic and to otherwise provide services in the manner described herein. 1. Technical Architecture. Several distinct application environments are required to adequately support the operation, test and development, and training requirements of TJJD as it relates to the JCMS.Basic application. a. Production environment. Respondent will establish and support a fault tolerant configuration for the JCMS.Basic production environment. This will consist of key network and security components as well as server resources described generally below. The JCMS.Basic application utilizes a web-based, N-tier technical architecture consisting of the following general components: i. Public facing Web/Application Server(s) reside in DMZ. A. Operating platform – Windows 2012/R2 or newer. B. Web/Application servers must sit behind a load balancing device that distributes network or application traffic across a number of servers. ii. Database server(s) (utilizing MS SQL 2012 or higher) protected behind firewall. A. Database server(s) must be configured in a perimeter network protected from the open internet. B. SQL Cluster consisting of at least 2 nodes. C. Large production SQL Server database server. D. File server (using Windows 2012/R2 or higher). E. Large file storage server must be configured in a perimeter network protected from the open internet. b. Reporting environment. i. Distinct physical environment consisting of a single web server, large database server, and single file server, each aligning with the general specifications above. ii. These components will have the same requirements with respect to DMZ & Firewall. iii. The data from the production environment will be replicated to the reporting environment on a defined daily schedule. c. Production test environment. i. Distinct physical environment consisting of a single web server, large database server, and single file server, each aligning with the general specifications above. ii. The data from the production environment will be replicated to the reporting environment on request of TJJD. iii. These components will have the same requirements with respect to DMZ & Firewall.
