Specifications include, but are not limited to: Temporary IT professionals on temporary assignment with the City normally will not work more than 40 hours a week. The Proposer must acknowledge that IT workers who are paid no less than $27.63 per hour qualify for the Computer Employee Exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The agency must pay such temporary workers, working more than 40 hours per week, the same hourly pay rate for hours worked over 40 hours, and must bill the City at the same hourly bill rate. Any temporary workers that are paid less than $27.63 will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours. Before a temporary IT professional is assigned more than 40 hours work in a week, the awarded vendor shall secure written approval from the ITS Director or an assigned designee. If a temporary IT professional works for more than one supervisor during a week, it is the awarded vendor’s obligation to notify the second and any subsequent supervisors of the hours already worked, so the temporary is not inadvertently scheduled for more than 40 hours.
