Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Area Engineeing Office and Maintenance Building: a. Demolition: 1) Existing standing seam metal roof from the Area Engineer Office and Maintenance Building. 2) Existing gutters, downspouts, rake trim to be removed. 3) Existing clay tile roof to plywood substrate. 4) Existing plywood decking of the Area Engineer Office and Maintenance Building entry roof only if damaged. Coordinate with TxDOT and A/E of potential damaged decking areas prior to decking demolition. Refer to Allowances in Section 01 32 00 – Allowances and drawings. 5) Existing parapet coping to be removed and damaged parapet blocking to be removed. Coordinate with TxDOT and A/E of potential damaged parapet blocking sections prior to decking demolition. Refer to Allowances in Section 01 32 00 – Allowances and drawings. 6) Refer to drawings for additional information. b. Construction: 1) New standing seam metal roof with flashing for the Area Engineer Office and Maintenance Building including the front entry roof area. Color to be Galvalume Plus clear acrylic coating color. Refer to Section 07 41 13.19 – Batten-Seam Metal Roof Panels. 2) New gutters, downspouts, and rake trim. Color to be solid silver metallic in color as selected from roofing manufacturer’s color options. Refer to Sections 07 60 00 – Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim and Section 07 41 13.19 – Batten-Seam Metal Roof Panels. 3) Replace damaged plywood decking with new for the Area Engineer Office and Maintenance Building as needed. Coordinate with TxDOT and A/E of potential damaged decking areas prior to decking demolition. Refer to Allowances in Section 01 32 00 – Allowances and drawings. 4) New parapet coping, color to be solid silver metallic in color as selected from roofing manufacturer’s color options. Refer to Sections 07 60 00 – Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim and Section 07 41 13.19 – Batten-Seam Metal Roof Panels. 5) New parapet blocking as required to replace any damaged. Coordinate with TxDOT and A/E of potential damaged decking areas prior demolition. 6) Provide fire rated wood blocking/plywood as need per drawings. 7) Refer to drawings for additional information.
