Specifications include, but are not limited to: 16 Classrooms: The new addition will be one (1) story construction consisting of a thirteen (13) classrooms/storm shelter and an administration suite. The classroom portion of the new addition is designed to meet 2015 IBC and ICC 500 latest tornado shelter requirements. An enclosed courtyard will be created for student activities, and a new administration suite and new secure vestibule will be planned for an improved visitor greeting and control. Three (3) classrooms will be added by renovating the existing administration suite, giving a total of sixteen (16) new permanent classrooms to the campus. Building Envelope Upgrade: Some windows and glazed doors will be replaced for improved energy efficiency. Some areas of the existing roof will be repaired. The existing stage smoke ventilation will be replaced for better weather protection. Window frames and metal fascias will be painted to refresh the aesthetics of the campus. Interior Improvements: For ADA compliance, inclined chair lifts will be provided for handicap access per TAS/ADA up to the stage, and water fountains will be replaced to be at the required heights and clearances. The highest traffic corridors will receive new flooring and renewed paint on walls. Select classrooms will receive wall paint and new whiteboards. Plumbing Upgrades: Rooms with heavy renovation will have new unit ventilators or new HVAC roof top units. The most used water fountains in the corridors will be replaced. New plumbing and electrical systems will be addressed where needed. Cafeteria Upgrades: The serving line at the cafeteria will be replaced to bring the campus up to district standards for improved serving efficiency, and additional new equipment will be installed for improved food preparation service. Athletic Renovations: The boy’s and girl’s locker areas will be refurbished with new lockers. Science Labs: Seven (7) science labs will receive new wall paint, new flooring, and new ceiling tiles.
