Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1. When requested by the City, administer, score, and manage the distribution to the assigned evaluators the personality and/or psychological testing protocols for applicants that are selected for use by the respective departments. 3.2. Interpret the results of personality and/or psychological testing protocols for assigned applicants prior to performing clinical interviews. 3.2.1 Previous instruments administered by these departments include the California Psychological Inventory (CPI), Psychological History Questionnaire (PsyQ), Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI), State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI), versions of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), and Inwald Personality Instrument (IWI). Instruments are subject to change based on the needs and at the discretion of each department. 3.2.2 The Contractor shall take all necessary steps to achieve an appropriate level of proficiency in the interpretation and utilization of each instrument selected for each hiring process for each department in accordance with the professional standards for psychologists. 3.3. Evaluate each applicant for evidence of satisfactory psychological and emotional health. It is understood by the City that the pre-hire evaluation performed by the Contractor is not a diagnostic interview designed to identify the absence or presence of any specific mental health disorders or symptoms.
