Specifications include, but are not limited to: Embankment - Clay (placed & compacted) Embankment -Topsoil(placed) Excavate, Form, place rebar (at slope Protection) Excavate (at approach) Place Concrete - pumpable (Include cost of pump in bid, Slope protection, filling voids, etc) Erosion Mat (delivered and placed) Seeding - Permanent Mix (delivered and placed) Watering (per trip) Bastrop County is seeking to enter into a construction contract with a competent contractor to provide construction services for the repair of flood damage to the embankment and concrete rip rap at Pony Express Bridge. The project location is within the 100 block of Pony Express Drive in the La Reata Subdivision off SH 304 which is located within Precinct 2 of Bastrop County. CONTRACTOR shall form downstream edge of concrete slope protection the length of the riprap, 2’ from edge of rip rap, to a depth of 3’ as shown on the drawings CONTRACTOR shall place #4 Rebar ( drilled and epoxy 6” into concrete rip rap) at 18” O.C. the length of the edge of slab ( Approximately 40-0’) CONTRACTOR shall pour concrete to fill the void adjacent to and beneath the rip rap.( Approximately 6CYDS) CONTRACTOR shall bid the clay embankment on a per cubic yard basis, placed and compacted. Compaction to be achieved by sheep foot roller attached to excavator. CONTRACTOR shall provide delivery tickets CONTRACTOR shall place 2” top soil on top of clay embankment. CONTRACTOR shall place erosion mat per specifications and drawings on a per square yard basis delivered and placed on disturbed areas of the downstream side of the embankment as recommended by the manufacturer. CONTRACTOR shall seed all disturbed areas per specifications. CONTRACTOR shall provide for watering on per trip basis as needed and directed by Bastrop County CONTRACTOR is responsible for saw, cut, and excavate roadway at edge of concrete slope protection and fill with flowable concrete fill voided beneath concrete rip rap.
