The following is a request from the Maintenance Department at the Rio Grande State Supported Living Center (RGSSLC) for surface preparation and painting. The Rio Grande State Supported Living Center (RGSSLC) is located at 1301 S. Rangerville Rd, Harlingen, Texas 78552. RGSSLC operates multiple buildings at various addresses in the city of Harlingen. The awarded contractor will be performing minor wall repairs, surface preparation and painting projects at one or more of these buildings. The time period covered by this contract will be from date of award through project completion which is expected to be less than 60 days. 10.1.1 Hallway walls will be prepped for painting. Prepping will consist of either washing, wiping or removing old paint as deemed necessary by the vendor. Individual offices will also be prepped. Holes will be patched, and anchors removed. Holes and anchors to be patched or removed will be identified by the office occupant with a black circle. 10.1.3 Door frames will be prepped and painted. 10.1.4 Office, bathroom, closet, and fire doors will be prepped and painted on both sides. Prepping will consist of patching small holes and sanding the door if required. 10.1.5 Office occupants are responsible for removing any pictures, frames or any other items from the walls. 10.1.6 Contractor is responsible for all necessary permits, licenses, and approval inspections. 10.1.7 Contractor is responsible for maintaining required minimum insurance coverage throughout the term of this contract.. 10.1.8 Paint for this project is provided by the facility RGSSLC. Contractor supplies labor and all other needed supplies and surface prep materials. 10.1.9 Surface area of preparation and painting is approximately 17,230 square feet. 10.2 Awarded contractor will receive training in service on facility policies and procedures before starting. Vendor must have knowledge of LSC codes and requirements, ADA codes and requirements. Safety training in State Facility preferred. Vendor must follow all rules, policies and procedures of facility. All machinery, tool, vehicles, equipment or any tools and equipment brought on campus must be kept in view and contained while on premises 10.3 The awarded contractor must be knowledgeable of LSC, Fire Marshal and SORM requirements and facility rules and regulations. 10.4 Contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, supplies, tools, labor, supervision and transportation Including Fuel Cost applicable necessary to perform and must have all applicable licenses, permits and insurance coverage.
