Some UTP cable pulls may exceed maximum distance for Cat 6 cable certification and will require supplier provided rack-mountable (Veracity brand - Longspan) Power over Ethernet (PoE) extenders at the IDF room and at the camera end except in the case of backbone cabling in which fiber optic cabling is required. Contractor is responsible for verifying distances and recommending the proper type of cabling and PoE extenders. 3. Provide a patch cord (Commscope, Systimax solution, CAT6A, RJ45 Straight patch cable, No boot, Red Color, part # CPC3312-07F010) to patch from patch panel to network switch, a patch cord (Commscope, Systimax solution, CAT6, RJ45, Straight patch cable, No boot, Red Color, part # CPC3312-07F001) to patch from RJ45 biscuit to interior camera, a patch cord (Commscope, Systimax solution, CAT6, RJ45, Straight patch cable, No boot, Red Color, part # CPC3312-07F003) to patch from the RJ45 biscuit to exterior camera and a patch cord to patch from media server to network switch. Cameras must be upgraded to the latest firmware prior to mounting as part of a staging process. 7. Cameras will be configured with the HCC defined administrative password. 8. HCC IT will provide static IP addresses for all POE cameras and media servers.
