Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Maintain and operate equipment in good working order, at speeds consistent with manufactures recommendation or in a manner for which it was designed to prevent accidents to workers and the general public. Equip mowers and trimmers with safety guards to prevent flying debris. B. From time to time lots may be added or deducted from a buy-out mowing cycle. Contractor will be notified in writing prior to the start of each mowing cycle if lots are added or deleted. Notification will include location of lot, lot size based on pay item categories and any mowing instructions required. Contractor may request in writing one (1) additional work day for every ten (10) lots added to the active cycle. C. Remove all litter and debris from the buy-out lot prior to mowing. Refer to Debris Removal Specifications for requirements for debris removal. Contact the HCFCD representative if illegal dumping of debris or material has occurred on a site before debris is removed. D. Mow primary lawn areas and all areas within the designated boundaries to a height of two (2) to three (3) inches using a finish type mower or other equipment as determined to provide a clean, even cut. E. Conventional type wheel tractors and mowers may be used to mow areas adjacent to the property boundary; however, such mowers must show results equal to that of a flail or finishing mower. F. Missed strands of grass or areas not uniformly cut shall be re-cut at no additional cost to HCFCD.
