Specifications include, but are not limited to: Medical and RX programs for the plan years, September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2021 (3 year deal) And options for September 1, 2021 – August 31, 2023 AND 5 Year option September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2023. 1. Carrier shall provide Alvin ISD staff access to a secure online tool that contains benefit and policy information, Plan administration components including eligibility information, prior authorizations, provider locator, patient claim history, subject to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) standards and other legal limitations. 2. Carrier shall provide ample training and ongoing support to the Alvin ISD staff. 3. Carrier shall identify and consult Alvin ISD on changes that can improve quality of services, cost containment and operational efficiency of the health benefit plan. 4. Carrier must be fully HIPAA and HITECH compliant, including processes involving eligibility file maintenance. 5. Carrier will provide dedicated EDI team to assist Alvin ISD in managing the eligibility process.
