Work shall be done with the lift station in service and the level being pumped down by the existing pumps. b. Protect electrical and control devices in and around the wet well. c. Lock out and tag out the pumps as the riser pipes are being removed and installed. d. Remove approximately 50 ft of 8-inch and 12-inch pipe, 100 feet of 12-inch pipe, the removal will consist of piping going through 2-foot concrete wall into the dry well up to the plug valve. e. Remove the guide rails and brackets on all pumps and pipes. f. All material removed shall be the contractor’s responsibility. g. Provide ventilation and safe ingress and egress to and from the lift station wet well for Contractor’s personnel. To include OSHA requirements on confined space entry. 2. Installation of four new riser columns: a.
