Specifications include, but are not limited to: Purchase new Calibration Laboratory work stations per specifications, remove current work stations and place in Building B compound. 1. Laboratory furniture installation in TCEQ Building B, room 231A, Calibration Laboratory 2. Remove existing furniture and place in TCEQ Building B compound as per Attachment B. 3. Install laboratory furniture according to manufacturer’s instructions. A. All laboratory equipment covered by the specification shall be the product of one manufacturer and be fabricated at one geographic location to assure shipping continuity and single-source responsibility. B. Installation must conform to United States Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. 4. Cabinet Style - Cabinet bodies, drawer bodies, shelves, drawer heads and door assemblies shall be fabricated from Cold Rolled Steel. 5. Drawer and door style - Contour: The outer drawer and door head shall have a channel formation on all four sides to eliminate sharp raw edges of steel and shall be welded and ground smooth. Drawer and door, when closed, shall be recessed to create an overall flush face. Drawer and door pulls shall be an integral contour radiused pull along the top edge. 6. Workspace dimensions – Workstations shall be manufactured following the general dimensions outlined in attachments. See all drawings for general dimensions. 7. Workspace Peripherals – The rear assembly shall include a mounted utility chase for the entire length of the bench. The stations shall include in bench electrical outlets that are supplied by a wall outlet. Lighting will be mounted to the underside of upper shelving. All lighting will be controlled by a single switch with the switch plate flush to the exterior of the workspace. 8. Steel: A. High-quality steel cabinet specifically designed for the laboratory environment. B. Cold rolled sheet steel shall be prime grade 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20-gauge U.S. Standard; roller leveled, and shall be treated at the mill to be free of scale, ragged edges, deep scratches or other injurious effects.
