Specifications include, but are not limited to: LCRA’s key inventory processes include: Receiving, returning, transferring, and issuing materials Inventory reports, including cycle counts, reorder reports, and materials issued reconciliations Materials planning, estimating, and reservations Managing rotating assets Managing financial transactions for multiple storerooms, both taxable and non-taxable, including item average cost calculations and storeroom valuation LCRA has an opportunity to pursue business process improvement through greater adoption of barcode technology for all receiving, tracking, and issuing procedures. Project goals include streamlining processes to reduce duplication of effort and manual entry. It has not been determined if the future state inventory management processes will continue to cross systems or will reside solely in PeopleSoft. Note that LCRA does not currently use the PeopleSoft Inventory Management application, although this is being considered.
