Specifications include, but are not limited to: WEEKLY: The entire perimeter must be edged and mowed with clippings discarded to ensure a clean and neat appearance. Hedges must be trimmed to ensure optimal appearance. The entire service area must be blown to ensure optimal appearance after every service application. TREE TRIMMING: All plant material will be pruned to retain its natural appearance. Suckers appearing on trees and shrubs will be removed as it develops. Dead shrubs will be removed and the area made neat. Tree branches and limbs obstructing walkways, parking areas, driveways or windows will be trimmed back. The entire tree at each location must be trimmed on an as needed basis, (request made by the City Representative). CHEMICAL APPLICATION: Fertilizer must be applied three (3) times each season or year, April/ June/August. 0-0-7 Pre-merge weed control must be applied two (2) times a year late September and second week of February. Spot spray for broad leaf and weeds control must be applied on an as needed basis. Clean and maintain flowerbeds weekly. Contractor must remove all debris to ensure optimal appearance to include a ground cover of 2” thickness of shredded cedar mulch. Mulch is only required at the 9805 Harry Hines Blvd. facilities. Annual color must be planted twice a year. The 9805 Harry Hines Blvd. flower beds require twenty-five (25) flats of flowers, with eighteen (18) flowers to a flat, in the front of complex. Begonias are to be planted in March and Pansies are to be planted in October. All bedding areas are to remain weed free at all times. This will be accomplished using hoes or other hand cultivating tools. This work shall include preparing the soil, and initial watering and fertilizer. Weeding will be done on a weekly basis during the active growing season, March 1st through November 30th.
