Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Project is designed to repair damages to the existing Lane City Dam and adjacent embankments. The purpose of the proposed work is to repair damages to the existing dam, and includes extension of the downstream stilling basin, installation of sheet pile walls on the downstream edge of the stilling basin, and installation of sheet pile fins to improve hydraulic flow conditions. This work is permitted under a USACE Nationwide Permit 3, and is subject to the US Fish and Wildlife requirements to protect nesting bald eagles, and to the Texas Parks and Wildlife requirements to protect habitat of native fresh water mussels. LCRA authorized the contractor, Phillips & Jordan (P&J), to proceed with the repairs in August 2017.
