Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop and conduct an annual, on-line training on a topic or topics as determined by HHS agency staff. Topics may include cost savings ideas, nutrition program development, tools to increase consumer participation at congregate meals sites, and program sustainability. Trainees may include HHS agency staff, Area Agency on Aging (AAA) staff, and/or AAA contractor and sub-recipient nutrition providers. Develop nutrition education source documentation, such as fact sheets and other relevant materials for distribution, with topics such as health promotion, culturally-sensitive nutritional options, low-cost food choices, and chronic-disease management. HHS agency Program staff will work with Contractor to determine the type of materials, content, and timeline in which the materials will need to be completed. Develop an annual training for meal providers and AAA staff on best practices to disseminate nutritional education training. Training materials will be made available for AAA Network distribution. Contractor will partner with HHS agency to conduct the training via webinar.
