Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Test other than “stat” must be performed & results returned within forty-eight (48) hours (exemptions being those tests which require a longer incubation period – these tests would mandate that the results be returned within forty-eight (48) hours after the completion of the incubation period). B. Laboratory services must have an established mechanism (i.e. courier service) by which to retrieve specimens from the various locations (City buildings, accident site, hospitals, etc.) C. Laboratory/Diagnostic facility must be State certified and must meet all State and Federal laws. Laboratory/Diagnostic facility must maintain a level of liability insurance that is comparable with other diagnostic facilities in South Texas. D. Laboratory/Diagnostic facility must submit copies of medical certification of all staff including: 1) DOT Collector’s Certification 2) Medical Review Officer Certification 3) Proof of Certification – Intoxilyzer for Alcohol testing 4) Substance Abuse Professional E. If performing on-site service, specimens will be taken by collector at all locations and as needed. F. Contractor will be reimbursed for travel of after-hours and all mobile collections. G. Identify reports with patient name, date of birth and identification number. Positive drug screen results will follow DOT and Federally Mandate Guidelines
