Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bastrop County is seeking to enter into a service agreement with a competent contractor to off-load, set, couple and seal Four (4) rows of Nine (9) five foot sections of an 8FT by 8FT (8’x8’x5’) pre-cast concrete box culvert. The project site is located in the 100 block of Shiloh Road, approximately 770 Feet West of the intersection of Shiloh Road and HWY 304. This site has been damaged multiple times during flooding events over the past 3 years. Each section of pre-cast box culvert will weigh approximately 19,000 pounds. The finished product will be a Four (4) barrel pre-cast box culvert structure that will be 45’ wide (From Upstream to Downstream Side). There will be a 6 inch gap between each 8’ by 8’ run to allow for flowable fill to be poured in between and tie the structure together. The scope of work for this project involves the selected contractor using a heavy lifting machine, capable of lifting a minimum of thirty thousand pounds with a boom reach sufficient to set each section of box culvert into its final location up to 60’ away from the designated crane pad on the existing roadway. Each pre-cast box culvert section may be lowered up to 15’ unto the prepared excavated site below the pre-existing roadway. The selected contractor will also be responsible for coupling and assembling the Thirty-Six (36) sections using the owner provided sealant. Please refer to Appendix C &D for TxDOT standards on box culverts. This scope of work will be performed simultaneous and in coordination with the precast concrete box culvert manufacturer’s delivery schedule. The delivery of these precast concrete box culvert sections will be handled by the manufacturer
