Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide a regularly assigned driver and a backup driver to service the route on each duty day. The courier driver should be in uniform and have a picture identification necklace/badge for identification purposes. The driver and backup must be cleared by Department of Public Safety in order to carry criminal histories and other sensitive documents. The courier will deliver and pick up intra-departmental mail from 30 stops ; The courier will maintain a “manifest” for each day’s route, which will include getting a signature at each drop/pick-up point along the way. The City’s Records Section will use these manifests to verify payments. Items acceptable for the courier route include paperwork and small packages. The courier service should be prepared to implement additional stops in the future if requested. ; have cars, vans, and pickup trucks available for pick-up and delivery service. When an item is too large for a car, the bidder shall provide a van or full-size pick-up truck at no additional charge to the City. ;
