Specifications include, but are not limited to: The hoists are a twin chain drum, single 15 horsepower motor design. See the two R94- drawings for hoist general arrangement. Refurbish two (2) hoists and update with new controls. The work shall include disassembly, inspection and replacement of components that are out of tolerance and installation of new controls provided by LCRA. Components in need of replacement shall be proposed by the Supplier and agreed to by the LCRA Subject Matter Expert engineer. Mechanical The hoists shall be completely disassembled to allow inspection, cleaning, blasting, and painting. Inspections shall be visual with required dimensions taken with ID/OD micrometers. Inspections beyond visual, such as dye penetrant and magnetic particle shall only be performed as needed and with prior approval of the LCRA Subject Matter Expert engineer. Dimensions of all journals and bushings shall be measured, recorded and submitted to LCRA for evaluation. The Mechanical refurbishment scope of work includes: • Inspect/refurbish/replace all shaft bushings at the gears, drums and wheels. • Inspect/refurbish all shafts. • Inspect worm gear box, replace bearings and seals. • Add shaft packing to output shafts. • Clean and inspect all open gears. • Refurbish the travel drive clutch and relocate to opposite side (for operation from downstream side). • Relocate existing toolbox to opposite end from current location. • Provide welded steel support brackets for new starter cabinet, control cabinet, push button station, and E-stop buttons (see Electrical below). • Mount rotary position indicator mounting bracket, and install extension to shaft to connect rotary position indicator dial (see Electrical below and drawing HST-3536-200). • Design and install a bumper/tie bar to 1) protect the rotary position indicator dial and transmitter and 2) allow one hoist to push or pull the 2nd hoist. • Blast frame and components, paint with a 3-part coating system as specified on attached documents. • See attached 7 Gate Hoist Panel Layout. Electrical The Electrical refurbishment scope of work includes: • Inspect, dip & bake and replace bearings on motor. • Replace existing starter and control cabinets with new equipment (provided by LCRA). • Install new pushbutton station (provided by LCRA). • Install one (1) LCRA-provided E-stop button and one (1) additional identical E-stop button. E-stop buttons shall be wired in series. • Install all required interconnecting wiring and heavy wall rigid steel conduit to incorporate new controls. • Install rotary position indicator (with coupling) and transmitter (provided by LCRA). • See attached 7 Gate Hoist Panel Layout and Magnetek 548 series drawings.
