Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor must complete the pre‐employment Background Investigation Services within 15 business days of the electronically submitted assignment from DPS. Pricing will be based on a case completion requirement of 15 business days from receipt of Background Investigation Services request(s) from DPS. B. Residence checks will be required for the current address and all addresses within the last ten years regardless of length at that residence. C. Document verification: Contractor must verify birth certificates, born‐abroad certificates, naturalization certificates, passports, divorce records, driver license(s) and other primary or secondary sources of identification provided by the applicant. D. Document source retrieval: Contractor must provide valid source information or links to any other available documents or information not provided by the applicant, which were found during the course of the investigation. E. Educational Verification: Contractor must verify educational transcripts provided by applicant are from Regional Accredited schools as defined by the United States Department of Education. F. Web‐based Profile Search: Contractor must search all accessible or available public web databases for additional public information on an applicant. These searches will include, but not be limited to, social networking and professional sites. G. Employment Verification: Contractor must conduct in‐person or telephone verification of applicant’s previous employment for the past ten years with any positive or negative feedback from the employers. Contractor may use a standard list of questions pre‐ approved by DPS. All employment and all unemployment will be verified. H. Telephone reference verification: Contractor must contact the list of references provided by an applicant or other references found during the course of the investigation and provide any positive or negative feedback. Contractor must contact as many references as required to establish verification.
