Specifications include, but are not limited to: Tarrant County intends for its alternative dispute resolution system to primarily provide mediation services and mediation training. Areas in which Tarrant County seeks mediation services include: community conflicts that have not yet led to litigation; litigation referred by civil courts; family law cases, including parenting coordination; Department of Family Protective Services cases; criminal cases referred by criminal courts or the Tarrant County Community Supervision and Corrections Department; and cases referred by municipal police departments. Tarrant County seeks mediation training services for the following areas: Qualifying impartial parties under §154.052, Civil Practice & Remedies Code; school districts that offer or wish to install peer mediation and conflict management programs; and Domestic Relations Office staff to conduct mediation services. The Vendor’s proposal should detail in what areas it intends to provide its services.
