Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFA is to identify eligible contractors through qualification to provide vehicle maintenance services to the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG). AACOG operates a transportation department Alamo Regional Transit (ART) that forms the bulk of its fleet. ART vehicles operate over a thirteen-county, 12,495 square-mile area that includes the counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Gillespie, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson. Travel is predominantly in the rural counties (those other than Bexar County); however, ART also serves limited portions of Bexar County and brings rural residents into and back out of Bexar County on a daily basis. Vehicles operate from as early as 3:00 AM and as late as 7:00 PM six days a week, though the bulk of travel is between the hours of 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM. We station the vehicles in eleven different locations, one in each county but Karnes and McMullen Counties. Those locations are in the cities of Bandera, Boerne, Floresville, Fredericksburg, Hondo, Jourdanton, Kerrville, New Braunfels, Pearsall, San Antonio, and Seguin. Provide typical preventive maintenance services or specialized services (such as A/C repair). All repair parts are to be OEM or equivalent. Exceptions will be individually considered on a case-by-case basis. Provide adequate inventory on parts to ensure minimum turn-around on common repairs. Vendor shall provide AACOG an estimated date of completion for all repairs and maintenance.
