Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Work of this Contract includes requirements to achieve LEED Silver certification as administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and it is a nationally known Green Building Rating System. These requirements are shown in all applicable specifications. It is the intent of the Owner to work in partnership with the Contractor in implementing sustainable construction practices to the greatest extent possible. The site being developed for the Airport Consolidated Maintenance Facility (CMF) encompasses approximately 16 acres. The site is located outside the secured area in a northeast section of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) property. The overall facility will provide maintenance support to the main airport daily operations. The site is the center for numerous buildings that house various maintenance operations of the airport. Buildings include the Maintenance Headquarters, Motorpool, Warehouse, Trades, Recycling, Truckwash, Garages, several canopies, and the Airport Police. The De-Icing equipment storage building will be located at a location close to the runway access road and connected to the main facility via a new road. The De-Icing facility will be secured with a perimeter fence and controlled access gates. Visitors, staff, and deliveries will arrive at all facilities from Golf Course Road, which intersects HWY 71. The overall development will also include covered parking, concrete and asphalt pavement, sidewalks, parking areas, signing and striping, curb and gutter, landscape areas, storm water structures and ponds, utilities, security fencing and gates.
