Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials, to furnish a complete industry standard repair job. All work performed must meet all applicable building codes based on local, state, and federal regulation codes. Work shall begin within appropriate length of time to be determined by the District and based on whether the request is an emergency. A purchase order and a Notice to Proceed will be issued for each individual service contract and work shall be completed within a time frame that meets District needs. All work shall be performed during prescribed hours both occupied and unoccupied Monday through Friday. Work can be done during weekends only with approval of Mr. Rogelio Gutierrez, UISD Director of Facilities Maintenance & Operations or his designee. Contractor shall be responsible for making arrangements for access into classrooms, roofs, mechanical rooms and all other areas of the building with the Maintenance Director or his designee. Contractor shall submit / advise the repair schedule to the Maintenance Department or his designee prior to beginning work, to allow coordination with District personnel i.e. Principals, Directors, school administrators. Contractor shall assume full responsibility for protection of school District property relating to specific job duties and restore all building facilities and improvements to their original condition prior to the start of any maintenance repair contract. Contractor shall be responsible for advising the District at least 48 hours in advance of any need to move any appurtenances necessary to deliver a complete job, e.g. furniture, building structural items. The District will remove all loose items, including but not limited to classroom furniture to accommodate the completion of time and material project.
