Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Contractor shall provide services in accordance with the guidelines for The American Society for Anesthesiologists, “Guidelines for Office-Based Anesthesia” and The American Dental Association’s, “Guidelines for the Use of Sedation and General Anesthesia by Dentists”. B. The Contractor shall monitor individual(s) receiving Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA) in accordance with The American Society for Anesthesiologists, “Standards for Basic Aesthetic Monitoring”. C. The Contractor shall coordinate services with the BSSLC’s dentist. D. The Contractor shall provide an anesthesia report or similar documentation that shall include a review of data to determine if the individual is demonstrating a positive reaction to the Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA). Based on the report, the Contractor shall provide a medical clearance and documentation of the individuals’ need and outcome regarding the use of TIVVA. Documentation shall include but is not limited to: • Pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation (e.g., change in health status, reevaluation of “nothing by mouth”, known as NPO status). • Anesthesia safety checks (e.g., check of equipment, drugs supply, gas supply) • Monitoring of the patient (e.g., oxygenation, ventilation, circulation, body temperature, skeletal muscle relaxation) prior, during and after the procedure. • Airway management techniques • Name, dosage, route, and time of administration of drugs and anesthetics
