Specifications include, but are not limited to:The contract requires the Contractor to provide security officers who are Commissioned Security Officers in the state of Texas (Texas Administrative Code Title 37, Part 1, Chapter 35, Subchapter 1, Rule 35.141). The Contractor will provide guard training in firearms, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), and first aid, and for any other equipment required to perform security services as needed to retain and renew certification. All licenses and certifications must be current and a copy of any renewal given to the DDS FM Director. While on duty, all security guards must carry his or her commissioned license and firearm permits, CPR, and AED certifications. This contract is with a State Agency performing work solely for the Social Security Administration. Therefore, a suitability determination by the Social Security Administration is necessary to determine whether a contractor can be issued credentials in order to have access to Social Security disability data, records, and systems. The contract requires the Contractor to provide security officers who have Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credentialing by the Social Security Administration prior to their assignment at DDS.
